SIB is a 20-year competitive esports veteran and one of the few players to compete at a professional level across multiple genres. His resume runs through Counter-Strike, Alliance of Valiant Arms, and League of Legends. In AVA, he faced future CS:GO Major champion Skadoodle. In League, he reached Challenger in all three ranked queues (solo, 3v3, and 5v5) and climbed to #7 in North America with his ranked team.
Then came Quake. SIB played his first competitive duel in March 2018. Five months later, he took 3rd place at the QuakeCon 2018 BYOC Duel tournament in Dallas, eliminating Quake World Championship competitor Gellehsak along the way. He had been playing Quake for barely a year. In 2019, he was selected as one of the original 20 players in Bethesda's Quake Pro League.
Today, SIB is a Twitch Partner, a coach with 15+ years of experience developing players across genres, and a full-time content creator. Next: a return to Counter-Strike, where it all started, with a full CS2 FACEIT ladder climb live on stream. Twenty years in, the resume isn't finished.

I had a fantastic educational session with SIB! He observed me playing and noted my mistakes. Not only did he provide feedback during the session, but he also created a personalized 30-minute video that showed how to avoid my mistakes in the future. SIB was diligent, attentive to detail, and provided actionable advice. He was very nice and listened carefully to my concerns. For example, when I described my problem with strafe movement, he dedicated a portion of the video to addressing that issue specifically. SIB also spent extra time with me during our live coaching session. Overall, it was a very positive experience, which surely will improve my game!
I have been playing Quake since 2017 and found myself plateaued at the same skill level. With SIB, I was able to learn several things that really helped me play more strategically: how to choose the fight, how to move during the fight, and what weapons to use. More importantly, those came not as general tips, but as a specific review of my gameplay, i.e. hearing ‘Hey, when you use Lighting Gun, you really should NOT rush at your opponent every time, and yet this is what you do in each LG fight.’ is much more helpful than a generic bullet point list. I knew if I only learned one thing, it would be worth every penny. Having you as a coach (someone who has scratched and clawed their way into the Pro League) made the most sense to me. Since you are one of the pros who realizes how hard it is to qualify and fight to remain in the league. I have watched a ton of the pro competitions and it's easy to see how difficult it is. You need to have a true love of the game in order to be successful, no question. I had a damn blast during our lesson and I appreciate all of the encouraging words of wisdom from you!
SIB might be the perfect teacher when it comes to both Quake and broader FPS fundamentals. I was impressed by his performance in the Quake Pro League and decided to reach out for lessons. Very few pro players are as eloquent as SIB when it comes to explaining the nebulous aspects of FPS skill. Combined with his approachable personality, our back and forth was remarkably smooth. Our 90 minute lesson was followed up with a near-hour long video he made that addressed the problems I asked for advice on in vivid detail and depth. He delivered above and beyond; the only way my rating could be higher if he somehow handed me his aim and brain. I will be coming back for another lesson.
